From an early age, Denise has had a love for the craft of hairstyling. Denise’s creative and artistic sense places her in the upper echelon trends. Her wide range of abilities have made her a sought-after stylist for years. She has learned and perfected her skills by training under premiere stylists including Ian Michael Black, Lupe Voss, Triston Morrison, among many others.Working with Aveda for most of her career allowed her to attend multiple Aveda Congress seminars. She enjoys working behind the chair because she values the personal relationships she develops with her clientele. She also enjoys the challenge of being able to correct any hair mishaps that come her way.
Denise has been personally recognized by the Aveda Global Brand President, Mr. Dominique Conceil, for consistently and loyally upholding the Aveda Mission with every guest. She places high value on listening to her guests, understanding their needs and respecting their hair and time. Denise strives to achieve hair perfection for every guest that sits in her chair.
Now, after so many years of being an employee and working alongside handfuls of unhappy stylist, Denise feels an even bigger passion to open her own hair salon. She was heavily involved in her last salon for over ten years, being a leader with different management roles, training aspects of employees and their growth, as well as constantly building a more positive daily culture. She is currently working hard on this lifelong dream of hers and recently graduated from a Career College Course focusing strictly on salon ownership and start-up. She is now working for herself in a studio in Eastlake/Otay Ranch area and is now able to build clientele and market where she plans on opening her salon.
